Humility is Key to Success
WATCCH Inc is a small organization and our resources very limited. The difficult part about being a non-profit is asking people for donations. People think that its easy to raise money for a project like such as a children home. In addition, they ask well you can't get grants, business involved other non-profits involved. The answer is "Yes" to all that but the answer is also all of that takes time. Believe it or not when you approach businesses they have to go through a process of approval and even then its not guarantee. Grants take months to prepare for and your organization is not the only one fighting for the grant. You also have to know what you are doing in order to write grants. Personally as the founder of WATCCH Inc I have had to put my pride aside and approach other non-profits. Non-profits including churches many express that they have there own ways of supporting or they do not sponsor outside missions. However, we have had two that chose to give...
The journey of getting donations has been one of humility because you have to put your self and feelings aside humble yourself and ask other to support your vision. You have to remind yourself that you fighting for children in need. Children that do not have parents or family to help them. For every door that has opened 10 have been closed. People have this preconceived notion that since we have raised money that we don't need support. However, that's not the case...at this current time it takes 1,000 or more each month for daily operations. We have a lot of people that commit to giving but never actually complete giving. Doesn't seem like much but we struggle every month to raise the funds. We have some monthly donors but not enough to be secure that we are gonna reach our goal. When we fail to meet our goal our kids and staff suffer. It takes a lot of faith as a board member or volunteer after all you can do is put your best foot forward and let your faith do the rest. There are many people that have the heart to give many people....its just about reaching them. www.watcch.org

Failure Is Not An Option
Failure Is Not An Option
WATCCH Inc was founded on sheer determination to help children victims of mudslides Budduda, Uganda. Today we sponsor 16 children some at our home and others in their community. However, we struggle to continue our charity. Gaining support of others to support our cause has been one of our most difficult task. This organization was largely funded by the efforts of its founders and close family. It was pure determination that pushed us to get recognition for the federal government and get our 501 c3. In addition, its the stories that drive us to offer a better life for these children. Once we arrived back from our initial trip we heard that the three year old child that we met had died from lack of medication. When we asked how much was the cost of medication we were told $15. We couldn't help but think we spend more than that on eating out. It was at that point that Failure is not an option. Sometimes as people we fail to put things into perspective. That's when we realized that if we don't help these children its a matter of life or death. Its easy for people to say "Are there not other organizations?" Yes, but many are full to max capacity. Our goal was to not just help 16 children but to address the need of 75 children. In order to do that we need the support of all those around us. They say it takes a village to raise a child but it also takes one raise funds. The work that is being done by us is very important...and is not only taking kids of the street but is saving lives. All we need is support of our village...kids sponsorship, donations to building (www.gofundme.com/watcch12), donation for health care and much more....check out ways to get involved help us make a difference. At our website www.watcch.org.
FAILURE IN SECURING FUNDS IS NOT AN OPTION. We have little children counting on us to succeed and that's a huge burden. As an Organization we plan on fulfilling this commitment. With the help of our supporters.

Our Cause in Africa
Our Cause in Africa
People spend their whole lives searching for what is their purpose in life. I found mine on my first trip to Africa in 2011. I never thought in a million years that I would step foot in Africa. However, that reality came true in 2011. During that summer trip for the first time in my life I felt peace. It was like I was were God wanted me to be. While I was there news came to the orphanage were I was volunteering that 75 children were in need. We heard terrible stories about how the kids had 35 boys to one mattress and the 40 girls to two. We also heard how they were adopting children out but then soon finding out the children were being turned into slaves. I was curious how the children got into these positions so I went to Buddua, Africa. When I got there I saw first hand the conditions of the home. The kids hadn't received medical treatment and they would only receive one meal a day. When I arrived the kids were so happy that we brought food. After were looked over the area and we looked at the conditions. We sat down to talk about the mudslides. We were shown pictures of the mudslides covering whole villages. The way the school system works in Uganda, is they send children off to school.
So many of the children were not home at the time of the disaster which left them homeless and orphaned. Till this day their is still over 300 people that are missing from the disaster. The heart break when we hear the story of one of the little girls....and how she called her mother for days only to find out that her mother was buried alive. Once they found her home they found scratch marks trying to get out of the home. Many of the children were devastated many left with no one and is a horrible situation. Several of the children attempted suicide...the stories kept pouring and our tears as well. You know hearing everything I felt as though I had been privileged. I wrote back home to get even more support! However, it was not enough....when I returned back to the US. I started WATCCH Inc which is now a 501 c3 organization. However, we still struggle with getting support. Our goal is to give these kids hope and try to help these kids. We are trying to build a building large enough www.gofundme.com/watcch12 we are also trying get sponsors for the children www.watcch.org

Is Christmas Season the Season for Giving?
I often hear people say that this is the season for giving! However, what does that really mean? I mean the word "Give" means to freely transfer the possessions of (something) to (someone). However , when you google giving season it says, giving season is the time of year when charitable giving increases. Key word meaning "charitable" which means assisting those in need. So as individuals we feel as though we are in the giving spirit of the season giving to our family and friends. Except, some of us negate the aspect of charitable giving. Why is that? I'm mean of course there are exceptions to this thinking. Representing an orphanage and children that don't have families to celebrate the Holiday's with or exchange gifts with, need help. The look on a child's face when they receive nothing for Christmas is unbearable. Especially when they are asking for bare necessities such as a toothbrush, shoes and sock for Christmas. This often crossed my mind as a person in charge of orphanage how can I compel people to give. Yet, if the spirit of Christmas and the Season of giving doesn't encourage people to support a child for Christmas what will?
Best Holiday Wishes

What About The Children Childrens Home
I created this Blog to bring awareness to an Organization W.A.T.C.C.H that helps children in Uganda, Africa. As an organization we have been able to open our doors to thirteen children in who were victims of the mudslides in Uganda, Africa. I started the Non-profit when I was 22 years old in 2011, I had no experience just passion for children that were suffering in Africa. It was the children that I met in Africa and news of death to one of these children that made me fight so hard to start this organization. Many people are unaware of the natural disasters that take place in Africa and the live that mudslide in Bududa have caused.
We recently have been allowed to be apart of a contest in which will give our organization the oppertunity to win 2700$ to help us expand and take in more children. All you have to do is vote for our video via Facebook. You can vote everyday until October 14th, 2013!. (You can not vote from phone has to be from computer) Please vote everyday!
